Authorities say the man suspected of killing his wife in St. Joseph shot himself after a stand-off with police in Saline County.
28-year-old Ty Arnold was suspected of killing Amanda Arnold Wednesday in St Joseph in an apparent domestic dispute.
Arnold fled and officers later picked up the chase and followed him in Saline County. Arnold went north on Highway 65. Deputies stopped Arnold's car with spike strips.
The Highway Patrol says Arnold fired multiple rounds at officers during the chase. Two drivers not involved in the chase were shot. A passenger in a vehicle suffered injuries from glass debris. They were all treated and released from the hospital. A total of six patrol cars were damaged in the shoot-out.
The Boone County Medical Examiner said Arnold died from a self inflicted gunshot wound.

Authorities in western Missouri say a man suspected of killing his wife in St. Joseph has died following a chase and shootout about 100 miles away.
But it was not clear Wednesday night if the man killed himself or was shot by law enforcement in a showdown along U.S. 65 south of Marshall in Saline County.
Police told the St. Joseph News-Press that 27-year-old Amanda Arnold was killed around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in an apparent domestic dispute. Police began looking for a pickup truck belonging to the husband, 28-year-old Ty Arnold.
About 4 p.m., authorities in Lafayette County reported a dark blue pickup heading east on Interstate 70, about 50 miles east of Kansas City. Other officers picked up the chase and followed the truck north on U.S. 65, where the shootout took place.
