Man charged in 1999 bank robbery

An Independence, Missouri man is in the Camden County Jail charged with robbing a bank 12 years ago.

Sheriff Dwight Franklin said 47 year old Joel L. Davis was arrested at his home near Independence. Members of the Independence Career Criminal Unit, Violent Crimes Federal Task Force and the Camden County Investigations Bureau assisted in the investigation.

Davis is charged in the 1999 Robbery of the Macks Creek Bank. 

Davis is being held at the Camden County Adult Detention Facility on the charge of Robbery 1st bond has been set at $20,000 cash and $150,000 surety.
