Jefferson City Police are investigating an attempted ATM robbery.
Police said early Monday at 1:30, a male suspect approached a woman at the Central Bank ATM at the Wal-Mart on Supercenter Drive. The woman had just made a deposit via an ATM transaction and the male suspect attempted to rob her.
She was able to drive away safely and she immediately called 9-1-1. The suspect didn’t display a weapon, and the woman was not harmed.
The only suspect description at this time is a white male. Anyone with any information is asked to call Jefferson City Police Detectives at 634-6400 or to call anonymous on CrimeStoppers at 659-TIPS(8477).
