A rollover accident in Cole County Thursday night seriously injured one person.
Jefferson City Police said the accident happened around 7:45 p.m. on Highway 50 at Liberty Road. Police said the driver was trying to turn on to Liberty Road, but was driving fast and ran off the road. The car went airborne and rolled onto its roof.
The passenger in the car, 60 year old Dennis Gieck of Holts Summit was transported to St. Mary's Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car, 47 year old Rebecca Lee suffered minor injuries.
