Police crack down on multiple drug suspects

Authorities have arrested five people after multiple search warrants turned up drugs.

Wednesday, The Jefferson City Police Swat Team, along with the Mustang Drug Task Force and Cole County Sheriff's Swat Team, arrested two people in the 200 block of Olive Street on various drug charges. In that residence authorities found crack cocaine, marijuana, packaging materials and suspected drug money. The arrested parties were a 19-year-old male and 47-year-old female.

A third warrant was served in the 1000 block of East Elm for charges including possession of heroin. A 28-year-old female was arrested. Marijuana and packaging materials were found as well.

Two suspects, a 28-year-old male and 29-year-old female, were arrested in the 1100 block of Madeline Place on marijuana distribution charges. Drugs and materials were found at this residence as well.
