The National Association of Letter Carriers wants to remind you of Saturday's "Stamp Out Hunger" campaign.

The 19th annual event asks mid-Missouri residents to leave a bag of non-persishable food items out by your mailbox by 9 A.M.

Local letter carriers will then pick up the food as they deliver your mail.

Last year's event brought in more than 230,000 lbs of food. Organizers are hoping to collect more than 300,000 lbs this year.

All the food will be donated to the food bank for central & northeast Missouri. Financial donations are also accpeted.

To see a list of agencies that will benefit from the donations, visit sharefoodbringhope.org.
