It's been five years in the making, much like the war itself.

State officials opened a new exhibit Tuesday morning in the State Museum at the Capitol on Missouri's involvement in the civil war...

The exhibit highlights the personal stories of Missourians involved in the war.

The designers say those people were, to a degree, dragged into a conflict they could not agree about...

The exhibit will remain in place at the museum on the ground floor through the end of 2015.
