JEFFERSON CITY, MO -- Jefferson City's smoking ban went into effect just over three months ago and so far police have not issued any citations.

Voters approved the smoking ban November 2010 by a margin of 58%, it bans lighting-up in bars, restaurants and other public buildings.

Tonight at 10 p.m. on KRCG News Nightside, we look into how the ban is working.

Enforcement of the ban is 100% complaint driven, meaning police only investigate a violation after someone has complained.

What have you seen? Are restaurants and bars abiding by the law? Do you think the ban is working or does it need to be changed?
