Head-on crash kills Wildwood man

A head-on crash in Montgomery County on Friday killed a Wildwood man and injured a Holts Summit resident.

According to the Highway Patrol, Matthew J. Kovis, 36, of Wildwood was killed in the crash. Holts Summit resident Adam D. Dothage, 29, was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.

It happened on Highway 94 just east of Portland. The Highway Patrol reported that Kovis crossed the center line and struck the vehicle Dothage was driving head-on. There were no other individuals involved in the crash.

Kovis was driving a 2005 Dodge at the time of the accident. He was not wearing a seatbelt. Dothage, the driver of a 2007 Ford was reportedly wearing a seatbelt when the crash happened.
