Wanted man arrested

A man wanted on several warrants is arrested by authorities.

Tuesday evening, Boone County Sheriff's Deputies were conducting a proactive foot patrol on Santa Barbara Drive in Columbia. They then saw Marquis O. King enter a residence.

King, 29, of Columbia had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. The deputies were able to make contact with King and arrest him without incident.

King is now being held at the Boone County Jail for the following:

City of Columbia municipal warrant for no operator's license, Boone County Warrants for 2nd degree property damage, 3rd degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon and felony non-support. The bonds for these warrants add up to more than $30,000.
