A 96-year-old Booneville man was killed Tuesday after pulling into the path of another vehicle.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports that Elbert Warsh was pulling out of a private drive on U.S. Highway 40 near County Road 345 when he was struck by the other vehicle in his driver-side door. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic about half-an-hour later.

That other vehicle was driven by 33-year-old Jared Wies. He did not have any reported injuries and was wearing a safety device.
