It's been more than a year since Billy Joe Basinger went missing. In late March of 2010 his wife, Glenda, contacted KRCG for help in getting the word about her husband who went missing.

Now, DNA testing has identified the remains pulled last year from the Mississippi River as Billy Basinger, better known as J.R.m who disappeared 13 months ago.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the victim is the 55-year-old man from rural Boone County, near Wilton. His head and torso were found August 15th between two barges at St. Louis.

Basinger was last seen in the early hours of March 22, 2010, after he left home in his Toyota Tundra pickup truck and New Foundland dog.

Authorities say there is no indication of foul play.
