SEDALIA, MO -- Update: April 14 at 12:05 p.m.:
Police have release more information about the murder of Mike Smith.
Police arrested Jamauhle D. Brown, 29, of Sedalia, on Wednesday for the crime.
Brown was charged with first degree murder, armed criminal action, burglary in the first degree, commit a felony in the futherance street gang activity, tampering with physical evidence and felon in possession of a firearm.
Sedalia Police received a 911 call around 3:51 a.m. on March 28, 2010 from 1417 W. 11th Street in Sedalia. Police said they found Michael Smith, 30, in his kitchen with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
The Missouri Rural Major Case Squad was activated and investigators followed up on leads and information the days following the homicide. There have been more than 130 leads in the case.
On April 12, a warrant was issued for the crime. The Missouri Highway Patrol Violent Crimes Unit, agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and detectives from the Sedalia police worked on the case.

Sedalia Police made an arrest on a murder that happened a little more than a year ago.
In March 2010, 30-year old Mike Smith of Sedalia was gunned down in his home on 11th Street. Police said when arrived they found his body on the kitchen floor with numerous gun shot wounds.
Sedalia police planned to announce who they arrested on Thursday.
