Columbia Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Ramada Inn on Conley Road.

Police said the incident happened at 1:54 a.m. on Sunday, April 3. The clerk reported a white male wearing a green sweatshirt with the hood clinched around his face entered the hotel lobby and wrote a note to the night clerk demanding money. Police said the man made motions with his hands implying he had a weapon but never showed a weapon.

The clerk handed the man money and he left on foot. No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s. Police believe he was 5'5 and weighed 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing the green sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Police are also looking for the driver of a red camaro with a black top seen leaving the parking lot just before the suspect left the building. Police think the driver may have been a witness to the crime or have been involved with the robbery.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crimestoppers at 573-875-TIPS.
