Purdue University just released the following press release:
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University and head men's basketball coach Matt Painter have agreed on a new eight-year contract through the 2018-19 season.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
"We are thrilled to announce that Matt will continue his leadership of our men's basketball program at his alma mater," athletics director Morgan Burke said. "At the end of the day, my heart is at Purdue, and this is a place where I want to win a national championship."
