COLUMBIA, MO -- A Columbia man is behind bars on suspicious of possessing and distributing child pornography.
On January 31, a Boone County Sheriff's Department Cyber Crimes Task Force detective found a computer offering to share child pornography through file-sharing programs.
The detective downloaded 4 video files. They showed pre-pubescent children being sexually molested.
Thursday morning, investigators served a court-ordered search warrant at Joel Florence's residence on West Bethan in Columbia.
While searching Florence's house, investigators found a computer containing several videos similar to the ones the detective downloaded.
Officers arrested Florence. Prosecutors have not yet filed formal charges.
