Update: Names released in Thursday bus accident

Updated: Friday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m.:

Jefferson City Police have released the name of the drivers in the accident.

JCPD said Rose Katina failed to stop at a red light and was struck by a school bus as a result of that failure to stop. The bus was driven by Harvey Riddle of Holts Summit.

No injuries were reported after the accident. 

 Original Story:

A Jefferson City Public School bus was in an accident on Thursday morning. The accident was at 11:45 Thursday morning at the corner of West Truman Blvd and Highway 179.

Six Early Childhood Special Education students were on the bus. No injuries were reported and parents of the children were contacted after the accident.

Witnesses said another vehicle ran a red light at the intersection and clipped the front of the bus.
