ROLLA, MO -- A suspected drug dealer is charged with murder after police said one of his customers overdosed.

It happened in Rolla, Missouri.

38- year-old Chris Cosey is charged with 2nd degree murder in the death of Dawn Sanborn, who was also 38 years-old.

Investigators said Sanborn died last summer from a heroin overdose.

Six-months later police determined Cosey gave her the drug.

Police hope it sends a message to other drug dealers that they will be aggressively pursued.

Cosey is in the Phelps County jail on a $500,000 bond.
