One day's worth of bottled water production from Central Dairy was pulled from the shelves of local stores.
A Central Dairy spokesperson tells KRCG a customer called them and reported the water smelling odd. That's when the dairy ran further tests; and determined it wasn't up to the company's quality standards. Central Dairy pulled about 2,000 gallon bottles of water from local store shelves.
A woman who bought the water said she was told by a representative from Central Dairy that the smell was the result of milk mixing with the water during the bottling process.
The water in question has an expiration date of July 21, 2011. If you purchased the water, packaged under the Central Dairy name, you can bring it into the store where you purchased it or Central Dairy for a replacement or refund.
