The Missouri Supreme Court has rejected an inmate's claim that his mandatory life sentence for killing a St. Louis police officer is unconstitutional.

The court upheld Antonio Andrews' sentence of life in prison without parole.

It was the only possible punishment he could have received as a juvenile in such a case under state law.

Andrews was 15 at the time of Officer Norvelle Brown's 2007 shooting death.
