Woman charged for cashing stolen checks

A St. Robert woman is in jail Friday on forgery charge related to cashing stolen checks.

Jakwiesha Yatize Nelson, 20, being held at the Pulaski County Jail.

Two days ago, a woman from Waynesville reported that five checks were missing from her wallet and that at least one of them had been cashed.

In the course of the investigation, deputies questioned Nelson after she had been arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Nelson's bond is set at $5,000.
