Another Missouri town may be going smoke-free.

The St. Charles County Election Authority said last night that enough people signed a petition drive in O'Fallon to put a smoking ban proposal on the April 5 ballot.

The O'Fallon city council could also opt to simply pass the proposal without an election.

The proposal would ban smoking in most enclosed public places. That would include all bars and restaurants in the fast-growing town of 75,000 residents.
