The Governor's Mansion Christmas Trees will get their Christmas treatment on Friday.

The trees were put into place earlier this week. The 27-foot Norway Spruce was hoisted by crane from Madison Street onto the mansion lawn

Friday afternoon, the governor and Mrs. Nixon will help decorate the tree before Friday's lighting of the mansion and the tree, and the candle light tours.

Christmas music from area youth choirs will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the lighting of the tree.

Then the candlelight tours begin at 6:30 p.m. and run until 9 p.m. Saturday the tours will continue from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
