FULTON, MO. -- Fulton has a new 24/7 YMCA.

The Callaway County YMCA opened a new Annex on the Fulton State Hospital Campus.

Annex Administrators held an open house on Friday and showed off their new exercise equipment.

The Annex opened earlier this month.

More than 100 state employees have signed up for the new facility.

A grant from the Missouri Foundation for Health helped pay for the renovations, at what used to be, the state hospital’s former cafeteria.

Annex members are enjoying the flexible hours.

“The 24 hour access really allows people to get in and get out," Callaway County YMCA Advisory Board President Matt Gowin said. "We understand that not everybody is an eight to five shift worker. We have various shifts that our employers here in the city of Fulton.”

Members of the Callaway County YMCA on Fulton’s Wood Street are also using the new YMCA Annex.
