SEDALIA, Mo. (AP) -- Missouri Senate candidate Roy Blunt is teaming up with U.S. House challenger Vicky Hartzler as Republicans push to pick up seats in next week's elections.
Blunt and Hartzler were rolling through western and central Missouri on Wednesday as part of Blunt's 50-stop bus tour. Hartzler is seeking to unseat longtime Democratic Rep. Ike Skelton in what appears to be a close race.
In Sedalia, Hartzler said President Barack Obama's administration is destroying the country both economically and morally.
Democratic Senate candidate Robin Carnahan campaigned Wednesday in downtown Cape Girardeau. She told business owners and customers that Washington politicians can't be trusted -- a jab at Blunt's 14 years as a congressman.
Skelton was campaigning Wednesday in Vernon County.
