Safety checkpoint shows results

COLUMBIA, MO. -- Boone County authorities are cracked down on drivers Monday from Noon to 2:50 p.m.

Deputies held a safety checkpoint on Brown School Road at Providence Road in Columbia.

In a little less than three hours, officers checked more than 500 cars and issued more than 50 citations, including one arrest for possession of marijuana.

Deputies report the most common violation was no insurance.
