ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Missouri's transportation department is halting the approval of more red-light cameras on state highways.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports officials want to study the cameras' operation and safety records before approving any more. The nearly 90 cameras already installed will keep operating.
