MARIES COUNTY, MO. -- A woman with a history of passing bad checks is back in jail for allegedly repeating the offense.

Maries County deputies said they have surveillance video of Christina Cyhaniuk cashing a bad check.

Deputies said she stole checks from an elderly man, forged them, and then cashed the checks at a bank.

Cyhaniuk is in the Maries County Jail on a $4,500 bond.

Prosecutors charged her with six counts of forgery.

Back in 2006, Cyhaniuk pleaded guilty to passing a bad check. She just finished her probation in that case a month ago.
