JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- Officials in Jefferson City are looking into changing a local law on yard signs because the city attorney believes the current rules likely are unconstitutional.

City Attorney Nathan Nickolaus said the existing law bans religious or political speech except on campaign signs.

One city council member suggests allowing people to post yard signs with religious and political speech at any time of the year, but only for 60 days at a time.
