SPOKANE, Mo. (AP) -- Authorities in southwest Missouri are looking for a vehicle that witnesses said caused an accident that killed a brother and sister from Springfield.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a dark colored, older-model sports utility vehicle caused the accident Sunday morning on U.S. 160 just south of Spokane.
The patrol said the SUV was weaving through traffic and swerved into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
KY3-TV reports that the driver of the car, 28-year-old Leigh Nye of Springfield, lost control of her vehicle while trying to avoid the SUV. She and her brother, 23-year-old Matthew Nye, died at the scene.
