Teen pleads guilty in Red Roof Inn murder

A Columbia teen responsible for the October 2009 murder of Nicole Sue Crumby at the Red Roof Inn entered a plea agreement Thursday morning with prosecutors and was sentenced to 24 years in prison.

Blake N. Logan, 19, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Boone County Circuit Court. Charges of first-degree robbery and armed criminal action were dropped.

Police found Crumby's body in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn on East Texas Avenue, just off the Providence Road exit on Interstate 70 the night of Oct. 9, 2009. Police found that the homicide was drug related. (Read More)
