BOONEVILLE, MO. -- Police arrested a Boonville man on suspicion of enticement of a child.

Samuel Twain Henson, 30, was taken into custody Wednesday as the Mid-Missouri Internet Task Force wrapped up a seven month investigation.

In March, a detective, pretending to be a 14 year old Columbia girl in a chatroom was contacted by a man, suspected to be Henson.

Police said the suspect solicited the child to engage in sexual conduct with him during several sexually graphic conversations online and by text messages.

Henson was arrested on suspicion of two counts of enticement of a child under 15 years of age.

Henson remains in the Boone County jail pending formal charges.
