FORT LEONARD WOOD, MO. -- A Fort Leonard Wood woman was indicted by a federal grand jury Thursday for attempting to kill her husband and harming her 10-month-old baby.

Chilquitta W. Favors, 25, was charged in a four count indictment. Charges include one count of assault with intent to commit murder, one count of first degree assault, one count of causing serious physical injury and one count of second degree assault.

Favors is charged with stabbing her husband, Pvt. Charles Favors, in the back of his head, his back and his arm. She is also charged with stabbing her 10-month-old in the leg, which cut tendons, nerves and muscle.

Favors told investigators she concealed as chef’s knife in her jacket and went to meet her husband on the military base.
