JEFFERSON CITY, MO -- Update: Thursday, Oct. 7 at 10:35 a.m.
Jefferson City Police found evidence at the scene of the shooting and determined it was self-inflicted.
The 63-year-old man died of a single gunshot wound to the head.
Police did not find signs of a struggle or a robbery attempt.

A 63-year-old Jefferson City man died following a shooting incident.
Jefferson City Police Department officers said a postal carrier called 911 at 3:49 p.m. Wednesday when he found the wounded man lying in the road.
It happened in the cul-de-sac of Sylvan Hills Road.
The victim sustained a single gunshot wound.
Police said Wednesday evening they were still trying to determine the nature of the incident, but called the death "suspicious".
