MEXICO, Mo. (AP) -- A northeast Missouri teen won't learn until after Dec. 1 whether he will be tried as an adult on charges of killing an Ohio drifter with the help of his family.
The teen was 16 in December 2009 when 20-year-old James William Boyd McNeely was killed. McNeely's body was found stowed inside a frozen trailer, which was leased by the teen's father, Chester "C.J." Harvey.
Chester Harvey, his wife, Angela, the 17-year-old and two other sons -- one 14 and the other 20 at the time of the killing -- were charged with first-degree murder.
KXEO reports that a certification hearing for the 17-year-old set for Friday has been continued until Dec. 1 because a new attorney is representing the teenager.
A hearing date hasn't been set.
