GASCONADE COUNTY, MO. -- Update: Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 3:30 p.m.

Deputies arrested two wanted men at 209 N. Victor Street in Bland, Mo.

Jason Brooks had an outstanding arrest warrant for manufacturing meth with a $100,000 bond.

Jonathan Smith had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear on stealing charges with $1,500.

Deputies found meth production supplies in the stolen car found near the property the two men were hiding in.

Original Story:

Two men wanted on felony warrants out of Osage County were arrested Tuesday afternoon in Bland.

Gasconade County Sheriff's Deputies found a car stolen from St. James on the property, then took Jason Brooks of Chamois and Jonathan Smith of Bland into custody when it was discovered there were warrants out for their arrest.

Gasconade County Sheriff Randy Ephorst said the men initially refused to come out of the residence, requiring the use of a SWAT team, though the arrests went smoothly after officers gained entry.

Brooks and Bland were handed over to Osage County officers immediately after their arrests.

It is not immediately clear why there were warrants issued for their arrests.
