JEFFERSON CITY, MO. (AP) -- Missouri utility regulators are looking into whether people are getting quality service from their local telephone companies.
The Public Service Commission opened a review this past week after getting an increasing number of customer complaints about wireline phone service.
The review will try to determine if the reported problems are isolated incidents or indicate a systemic deterioration across phone lines in large parts of the state.
Local telephone companies have been given until Nov. 1 to respond to a series of questions posed by Missouri regulators.
The public can also submit comments to the PSC.
