ROLLA, Mo. (AP) -- The Missouri University of Science and Technology is planning a private pilot ground school this fall through its distance and continuing education program.
The university says in a news release that the 20-hour course will be held Monday and Thursday nights from Oct. 11 through Nov. 4 on the Missouri S&T campus. The course costs $100, plus $13 for a textbook.
Participants will get a general introduction to aviation. The course also will help prepare students for the Federal Aviation Administration Private Pilot and the Sport Pilot written exams.
