Police: Van fire caused by mobile meth lab

HILLSBORO, Mo. (AP) -- Jefferson County authorities suspect a mobile methamphetamine lab is responsible for a fire that destroyed a van.

KSDK-TV reports the fire happened Wednesday night. A 42-year-old man remains hospitalized, and authorities said charges are pending.

Cpl. Gerald Williams said investigators found chemicals used to make meth, along with other evidence.
