ST. JAMES, Mo. (AP) -- Two Missouri teenagers killed in last week's pileup involving two school buses on Interstate 44 west of St. Louis have been laid to rest in their home towns.

Funerals were held Monday in St. James for 15-year-old Jessica Brinker and in Sullivan for 19-year-old Daniel Schatz (shawts).

Daniel was driving a pickup truck that was crushed by the first of two school buses carrying the St. James high school band to Six Flags St. Louis last Thursday. Jessica was on one of the buses.

KTVI-TV reports that many mourners who packed Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. James wore bright clothing in honor of Jessica's preference and style.

Daniel Schatz was mourned at Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan, where he was a star high school quarterback. He was transferring this year from the University of Missouri to Westminster College.
