JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP)- Missouri Auditor Susan Montee is releasing a review of the state's grain regulators.
The Missouri Department of Agriculture requested the audit of its grain regulation program after farmers lost millions of dollars from the insolvency of two grain dealers. Last year, grain dealers in Gallatin and Martinsburg went under.
Montee planned to release the audit at a news conference Thursday at the state Capitol. Her review was focused on evaluating state agriculture officials' regulatory procedures.
KRCG News will have the latest on this grain dealer review.
