2nd suspect arrested in connection to shootings

COLUMBIA, MO. -- Columbia Police arrested a second suspect in connection to a string of drive-by shootings that happened last week.

Richard G. Dekruyff, 31, is a suspect in the shooting that happened on July 1 on Ash Street and Sanford Avenue.

Police went to a residence on Ludwick Boulevard West after a CrimeStopper caller identified Dekruyff as the shooter.

When police questioned Dekruyff, he gave them many aliases then tried to flee, but was apprehended.

Dekruyff arrested for an outstanding felony warrant, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, obstructing a government operation, armed criminal action, and first degree assault. His total bond is $1500.00, not including the three charges carrying a “to be set” bond amount.
