Phelps County Sheriff’s Department arrested two more people during their focus on burglaries effort.

Clifton William Gann, 25, and Ashley Leigh Freeland, 24, both residents of Rolla were arrested Wednesday night suspected in a string of burglaries, that happened two weeks ago, into homes on the 12000 block of County Road 5030.

Large amounts of electronics were stolen and were hidden in a motel room.

The focus on burglaries effort was in response to an increase in burglaries in the Phelps County area.

Gann, charged with burglary, also had an outstanding warrant for violating his probation.

Freeland, charged with burglary, had had outstanding arrest warrants for Fraudulent Use of a Credit Device as well as traffic warrants.

Both are being held at the Phelps County Jail.
