Beaches closed because of E. coli

The public beach at Finger Lakes state park is among four state beaches that will be closed through the holiday weekend for high levels of E. coli bacteria.

The Department of Natural Resources has also closed state beaches in Macon, Adair, and Lewis counties.

Beaches closed for high water in Mark Twain and Lewis and Clark state parks will remain closed.

The beach at Harry Truman park will re-open Thursday.
