COLUMBIA, MO -- More than 80 World War II veterans traveled to Washington D.C to see the World War II Memorial and other national monuments.

On their way back a couple hundred people gathered early this morning to welcome them home.

This was the last honor flight for the summer, because the weather gets too hot for the veterans to travel.

If the group gets enough donations, flights will resume this fall.
