JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- The Jefferson City Animal Shelter had some good luck Thursday as they adopted out about 20 animals.

The shelter had so many dogs and cats this past weekend that they are offering free adoptions through Friday. About 20 animals were available Thursday afternoon.

The free adoptions were made possible through the Brenna Siebert Memorial Pet Care Fund. Brenna Siebert and her sister were killed in a plane crash in 1996.
