Jefferson City teachers get pay raise

JEFFERSON CITY, MO. -- Jefferson City Public School Board approved a new budget at a meeting on Monday.

The new budget includes a 1.8 percent pay raise for teachers.

School officials said the rest of the administration and staff are also getting a similar pay bump.

A $3 million early childhood expansion was also approved for the former Southwest Elementary.
