Victim rescued from car, taken to hospital

COLUMBIA, MO. -- Fire crews responded to an extrication accident Monday morning on Western and I-70 Drive.

Columbia Fire Fighters and the Boone County Fire Department found that a black 1998 Camero, with the driver trapped inside, and a Ford F150 collided in the middle of the roadway.

The driver of the truck was helping the driver of the Camero as crews arrived on the scene. It took crews 20 minutes to free the victim using hydraulic equipment.

The driver was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.
