The Jefferson City community gathered today as the Sam B. Cook capital region Healthplex was dedicated Saturday.
The expanded and remodeled facility boasts an aerobic studio, expanded locker rooms and a cardio equipment area. The facility also has a cardiac rehabilitation center and a therapeutic exercise pool.
Fundraiser organizers say the now 36,000 square foot facility is in a class of its own.
The facility's expansion and remodel was completed just a few weeks ago at a cost of a little more than 2 million dollars. The largest donor to the project was Jefferson City native Sam B. Cook.
