(AP) -- ST. LOUIS (AP) -- St. Louis' prosecutor says there's not enough evidence for now to warrant charges against some Saint Louis University athletes questioned by police in an alleged sexual assault on the campus.

Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce describes as serious the allegations by the 20-year-old woman who says she was attacked by two male students in a dorm before dawn Saturday.

Joyce says she'll reconsider the case if any new information surfaces.

An attorney representing the three members of the Billikens basketball team who police questioned Saturday says Joyce's decision is consistent with his belief that there was no wrongdoing. John Rogers adds that it's inconceivable anything new would surface to support charges.

Messages left with a spokesman for the school were not immediately returned.
